Chapter 12
Kyra walked beside Raven as they browsed Spencer’s. Kyra had agreed to leave her flask at home. She hated making that agreement. Ghosts were everywhere and their presence overwhelmed Kyra to the point she was walking on eggshells.
“What are we looking for?” Kyra asked. She wanted to hurry home. Dealing with one ghost was better than a horde of them.
“Not sure yet. I’ll know it when I see it,” Raven notified. Raven walked to the lingerie section. Kyra reached into her pocket and pulled out a Ziploc bag of gummies she made with amaretto. Unlike straight alcohol, the gummies didn’t drown out the ghosts, but they did ease her anxiety while around them.
“This!” Raven crowed.
Kyra glanced at the object in Raven’s hands. She held a Mrs. Claus baby doll lingerie with matching G-string.
“Who’s that for?” Kyra asked.
“It’s for Althea. Now I need a matching gift for Nekros.” Raven looked along the wall until she found a Santa hat and scarf. “Perfect!”
Kyra rolled her eyes at her friend’s weird taste in Christmas gifts. She got distracted by a bag of gummies. On the package it read ‘Kama Sutra Gummies’. Kyra walked to the object and held it out to Raven.
“What about this?”
Raven laughed. “This is the best gag gift for the couple!”
Kyra smiled, accomplished in helping pick out a gift for Althea and Nekros. Suddenly, her phone went off. Kyra pulled the phone from her pocket to see a text from Chaz.
Chaz: What are you doing kitten?
Kyra: I’m at Spencer’s.
Chaz: Who the fuck is Spencer!
Kyra: It’s a store at the mall in Boise.
Raven peered over Kyra’s shoulder and read the messages. “That’s a major red flag. The fact that he’s jealous about a store.” Raven shook her head. “He’s acting like you two are together.” Raven paused for a moment before she invaded Kyra’s space.
“What?” Kyra stammered.
“You slept with him, didn’t you?”
Kyra avoided eye contact with Raven. She grabbed the items and hurried off to the cash register. “Let’s go pay for this since we’re done.”
“Oh my god! You slept with him!” Raven exploded.
Kyra hushed Raven trying to get her friend to lower her voice. The conversation was paused until after Raven bought her gifts for Althea and Nekros.
Once outside of the store, Raven placed her hands on her hips and stared at Kyra with her ‘talk now’ expression. “Well?”
Kyra sighed. “Yes, I had sex with Chaz. It wasn’t…great.”
Raven shook her head in disappointment, but she also patted Kyra on the shoulder. “I don’t trust him, but if he’s what you want, I won’t stop you.”
Kyra’s heart sank. She didn’t like having Raven being disappointed in her. What was worse, Raven was still the supportive best friend.
Kyra walked up the steps that led to her apartment. When she turned the corner, she saw Chaz waiting outside. Chaz smiled when he saw her.
“Hey,” he chirped.
“Hi,” Kyra responded.
“I just wanted to apologize for what I said in the text. I didn’t mean to seem…” Chaz paused.
“Jealous?” Kyra chimed in.
Chaz chuckled. “Yeah.”
Kyra debated on whether to chastise him for how he acted or to let it go. Ultimately, she let it go. “Don’t worry about it.”
Kyra wiggled past Chaz to get to her front door. Chaz placed his arm on the doorway, pinning her to the doorframe. He snaked a finger under her chin and forced her to look up at him. Normally this tactic would have Kyra’s core shivering. Instead, it knotted in uncertainty.
“To make up for my behavior earlier, may I take you out on that dinner date?” Chaz’s voice dropped an octave. “And maybe we can have dessert afterward.”
Kyra shivered at his use of the word dessert. She thought about it for a moment. “What time?”
Chaz pressed his lips against hers lightly. “I’ll pick you up at 7.”
Kyra eyed the clock. For her date, she dressed in a purple long-sleeve sweater dress.
“Where are you going all dressed up?” Rae asked.
The doorbell rang. Kyra hurried over and opened it.
“Yuck. You’re going on a date with him,” Rae gagged when he saw Chaz.
Chaz wore black leather pants, a black muscle t, and a black leather jacket. The look didn’t fit him and reminded Kyra of a rejected boy band member. Rae gagged more when he saw Chaz in the leather outfit.
“Ready?”
“Yup!” Kyra said as she rushed out the door before Rae’s comments assisted in her changing her mind. “Let’s go.”
Instead of going to a fancy restaurant, Chaz led Kyra to the roof of the building. Kyra looked at Chaz’s handiwork. He had set up a candle-lit dinner with white Christmas lights strung around metal poles. He placed his hand on her back, closer to her butt than her back, and directed her to the table. Chaz mimicked the behavior of a perfect gentleman. He pulled her chair out for Kyra and pushed in her chair before he sat down. Grilled salmon with lemon garlic sauce were on their plates.
“This looks amazing!” Kyra cheered.
“Thank you. I cooked everything myself,” Chaz gloated. He poured Bacardi 151 into their wine glasses. Kyra crinkled her nose not sure Bacardi and salmon were a good mix, but was willing to try it anyway.
The two ate their dinner and small-talked the night. After everything was cleared from their plates, Chaz pulled out a container that held triple chocolate lava cake and placed it in the center of the table forcing them to share. Kyra dove in and took a bite of the gooey cake. She moaned when the chocolate hit her taste buds.
“This is so good,” she gushed.
Chaz just smiled and jabbed his fork into the container to take a bite himself. As they reached for more bites of the cake their forks collided and they laughed at the incident. After the third clink of their forks, Chaz leaned in and kissed Kyra. The aphrodisiac food and alcohol amplified Kyra’s arousal and she kissed back eagerly.
Chaz broke the kiss. “Ready to take this elsewhere?”
Kyra nodded, unable to form her voice. Chaz scooped Kyra up in his arms and carried her down to his apartment. His lips were locked with Kyra’s the entire trip.
When they made it to Chaz’s bedroom, he tossed Kyra onto the bed. He removed his shirt in one swift motion. He pinned Kyra to the bed and devoured her lips. Despite the alcohol and the seductive food, Chaz still was a shitty kisser. His tongue invaded Kyra’s mouth to intertwine itself with hers and it still reminded Kyra of sandpaper. Chaz broke the kiss long enough to strip Kyra of her dress. He paused to admire the bra and panty set Kyra wore. Kyra squirmed under his gaze as if she were prey caught by a predator. Chaz dragged his fingers down her body. He quickly removed her bra, which was much easier to remove this time around, and tossed it to the floor. He leaned over to grab something near his nightstand. Kyra assumed he was grabbing a condom. She was wrong. Instead, he grabbed a set of Christmas lights.
“What are—” she began but was interrupted. Chaz pressed his finger against Kyra’s lips to silence her. Without saying anything he wrapped the lights around Kyra’s wrists and her ankles. He then used his teeth to pull down her panties until the Christmas lights blocked their complete removal. Then he removed his leather pants exposing his hardened cock.
“You ready for this dick, Kitten?”
Kyra didn’t know how to respond to his attempt at dirty talk. She just opted to nod her head yes. Chaz climbed on top of her and roughly slammed his dick deep inside of her. Much like the last time, he didn’t allow Kyra to adjust to his size.
“You feel fucking amazing around my dick, kitten,” he purred in her ear. “I love how I can feel all of you and vice versa.” He thrust harder and deeper inside Kyra’s vagina. Five thrusts later, Chaz climaxed and passed out beside her. Kyra wiggled her wrists free from the impromptu bondage and untangled her legs. Chaz was terrible at using bondage. He sucked in general when it came to sex. Kyra pulled her panties up, grabbed her bra, and put her dress on before she snuck out of Chaz’s apartment and returned to her own.
I’m so glad I have an IUD. I’m still going to take the morning-after pill to ensure I don’t get pregnant.
