Nekros’s Joke Tattoo Chapter Possibly Epilogue?
“Well, if it isn’t my best customer. What can I do for you today?” Minty asked with a smirk as Nekros and Althea entered the shop. Minty stood over Raven, who was sketching out a potential tattoo design. A spark burned in Raven’s eyes ever since she began her tattoo apprenticeship.
“I want to get a tattoo of an infinity symbol with a rose and the word necrophilia,” Nekros answered.
Althea gaped open-mouthed at Nekros. “I thought you were joking!”
Minty’s smirk grew wider. “Bet!”
Raven rotated the paper she was drawing on and started sketching the design for Nekros, just as Minty started drawing, too.
“You’re getting in on this too, Raven?” Althea whined.
Nekros laughed.
“It makes sense, though. He is basically a walking corpse and you two are having sex, are not?” Dante said as he entered the lobby with a tray of beverages. He handed Minty a cup of tea, a cup of mint hot chocolate to Raven, and two sodas to Nekros and Althea. Althea blushed at Dante’s brazen comment, but ultimately kept her mouth shut.
A few minutes later, both Raven and Minty shared their designs with Nekros for his tattoo idea. Raven’s design matched Minty’s drawing. The only difference was she made the leaves on the rose into mint leaves. Ultimately, Nekros agreed to combine both their designs for the tattoo.
“Color or black and gray?” Minty asked as she pulled the design up on her tablet.
“Color. I think the rose should be black, since black roses represent death and rebirth. The infinity symbol should be green since it’s supposed to be the rose stem. For the wording, I’d like it in a gray color instead of black to contrast the black rose,” Nekros explained.
Minty nodded as she added the color. She flipped her tablet around and showed Nekros the design with his color requests. Nekros nodded vehemently. Raven prepped Minty’s tattoo station with Minty supervision. Althea sighed and hung out in her makeshift depression corner.
“I still can’t believe you’re getting this tattoo…”
“Well, it’s either this or Necromommy,” Nekros joked.
Althea pouted as she brought her knees to her chest. “Both are terrible ideas.”
“It all depends on where he’s getting the tattoo. If it’s in plain sight, he’d have to explain his crude humor and make up a story about it, since necromancers don’t technically exist,” Minty said and emphasized her point by performing air quotes when she said necromancers don’t exist.
“That’s why I’m getting it on my inner bicep,” Nekros said as he flexed his arm. Minty grabbed the stencil and placed it on Nekros’s bicep to see if it would fit. She adjusted the size as needed before she had Nekros move his short sleeve up. The two fought with Nekros’ sleeve being uncooperative. Nekros stripped off his shirt and positioned his arm for Minty to clean the area and apply the stencil. With Nekros being shirtless, Minty noticed that his skin was unmarred by the tattoos she performed on him.
“Looks like I need to redo all your tattoos again,” she said.
Nekros rubbed the back of his neck with his free hand nervously. “I guess so,” he laughed timidly. Minty shook her head with a smile. She knew what she was getting into when she found out Althea was a necromancer. She gestured Nekros to the chair at her station. Raven had assembled the area perfectly so Minty could start tattooing. Raven sat next to Minty with a notebook and pencil. She asked questions about what needle size Minty was using, the techniques for various sections, and such. With every answer Minty gave, Raven jotted the information down. Every new data Raven learned, her eyes sparkled, which made Nekros smile.
Minty cleaned the tattoo of excess ink and plasma and examined to see if anything needed touched up. When everything passed her critical gaze, she gestured for Nekros to check the new tattoo in the mirror. Nekros stood up from the chair and stretched before he wondered over to the mirror.
“Fantastic as usual,” he beamed. “I love it.”
Althea sat in her depressed corner grumbling about how she hated his joke tattoo.
Minty called from her shoulder to Althea, “You could always kill him and revive him.”
Althea buried her face in her kneecaps. As she fidgeted in her chair, it was clear that she liked that idea of killing Nekros and bringing him back less than the tattoo itself.
Dante, Raven, Minty, and Nekros laughed.
